Thanks @pavel.kirienko, we’ve been discussing this among the key projects and companies and we’ve decided to call the project to continue development of UAVCAN-v0 “DroneCAN”. The DroneCAN project will continue to support and develop UAVCAN-v0. We think a clearly separate name is needed to avoid confusion.
We’ve created a git repo and website:
- discussion on discord server at https://dronecan.org/discord
Regarding your offer of a SIG within this forum, if you would be happy to have a DroneCAN SIG within the UAVCAN forums we would welcome that, but that is completely up to you. We will for the moment be having technical discussions about how we evolve DroneCAN on our discord server and on github. We may establish a separate discourse forum in the future, or may use the new github discussions feature. It is very early days so we’re still setting up exactly how the project will work.
I’d also like to say a huge thank you for everything you have done on UAVCAN. While we won’t be adopting v1, DroneCAN obviously inherits a huge amount of work that you and others on this forum have done over the years.
